Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Linguary (“Linguary,” “the App,” “we,” or “us”) handles information when you use the App.
Information stored on your device
Linguary stores learning information such as vocabulary status, grammar progress, flashcard progress, and study preferences locally on your device. This information is used to provide study sessions and progress tracking. Linguary does not currently require an account or upload this learning progress to a Linguary-operated server.
Subscriptions and purchases
Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Linguary does not receive or store your full payment-card information.
Linguary uses RevenueCat to help manage subscription products, purchase status, and premium entitlements. RevenueCat may process purchase-related information, app-user or device identifiers, and subscription status as necessary to provide this service. RevenueCat’s handling of information is governed by its own privacy policy.
Support communications
If you email support, we receive the email address and information you voluntarily include in your message. We use that information to respond, troubleshoot problems, and maintain necessary support records. Do not include passwords, payment-card details, or other sensitive information.
Advertising, tracking, and sale of data
Linguary does not currently display third-party advertising, track users across other companies’ apps or websites, or sell personal information.
Data retention and deletion
Learning progress stored locally remains on your device until you reset it within the App, remove the App, or erase the device’s data. Support emails may be retained as reasonably necessary to provide support, maintain records, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion of eligible support correspondence by contacting us.
Children’s privacy
Linguary is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a support request, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
Security
We use reasonable measures appropriate to the information we handle. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Linguary adds features, services, or languages. The current version will be posted on this page with its effective date.
